COMPANY HISTORY:
HockeyWorld.Com evolved in 2006 with the joint efforts and combination of two
of the greatest hockey retailer's websites: Perani's Hockey World &
1800FACEOFF.Com. With this combined 43 years of expertise and experience we
were able to build and offer the largest and most comprehensive web offering
for hockey equipment on the planet! 

The core operations and customer service of HockeyWorld.Com is located in Flint
Michigan near the flagship Perani's Hockey World retail store and headquarters,
however the massive amount of product that is offered on the website is far too
much to store in one location. With well over 100,000 square feet of warehouse
space you can be assured that we are the largest web based retailer of hockey
equipment in the world.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED:
Perani's Hockey World ("The Toystore For The Hockey Player") was formed in
Flint back in 1976 by Bob Perani, a local Pro hockey player and fan favorite
who played for a number of years as a goalie with the Flint Generals. Over the
past 30 years the company has grown to include 13 retail stores in North
America, and before merging its mail-order company with 1800FACEOFF, their web
and catalog company had grown to one of the largest in the country. Perani's
has serviced many future professional players including Mike Modano who bought
his first pair of skates from the company's Lakeland Arena store, and even at
one time briefly employed former All-Star Pat Lafontaine when he was a
teenager. 

The retail Perani's Hockey World retail stores (including the 40,000 square
foot Livonia Superstore) still draw customers from across the country. You can

1800FACEOFF.Com (formerly BostonHockey.Com) was formed in 1993 as "The Hockey
Superstore." The company quickly became one of the leaders of the internet
based hockey retail and was the first to offer a fully customized website with
real-time inventory. The full-featured website introduced special features such
as the SkateQuiksearch, wish list and more. On top of that the company offered
a huge selection of products from all the major manufacturers at the lowest
prices. The company's mail-order catalog's have grown over the years to include
the largest & most comprehensive offering of hockey equipment by any hockey
retailer.
