We bought these shin guards to replace a 3-year-old set of Bauer shin guards that our son had outgrown. He's only worn them a couple of times, but so far they seem to fit snugly on his skinny calves. One feature that seems to be better is the velcro straps. On the Warrior shin guards, they are set in a channel that is more recessed than on his Bauers. When pulling on socks, the velcro straps seem to be better protected from being caught by the socks. The straps are also cut on an angle at the end rather than cut "square", so there's a smaller area to be caught by the socks. Overall, these seem to be a good-fitting and well-made set of shin guards. Our son is very excited about how they feel and fit.
