The Ventus LT88 model is designed to work with the natural movements of the goaltenders body to optimize flexibility while providing superior protection and maximum net coverage for the upper body. Wide extra-large shoulder floaters increase blocking surface area and provide greater impact dispersal. Large sternum plate adds protection over critical areas and extends under the shoulder floaters to give more stability to the shoulder protection. Angled Block design on the chest pad provides increased flex and body movement.
The Lower Chest Pad features a separate flap extension that adds flexibility to keep the chest pad properly aligned while making quick movements. The Arms are anatomically designed to align the arm protection in a precise alignment and location for increased protection. The Arms feature four point adjustable elbow pads, adjustable arm straps and Velcro© adjustable wrist straps to provide a custom fit. The Back Padding features High Density foam padding over the spine and dual buckle waist strap attachment for security and adjustment.

Excellend Chest Protector at a great price
I am new to the goalie world, having played Defense for the past 25 years, but I was very impressed with this given the cost compared to others. The fit is excellent on me, the hardened elbow caps are easy to adjust. As a newer goalie, I knew I was looking for good protection and simplicity, and this thing delivers. I was able to try on several Bauer, Warrior, CCM, and other Vaughn pads, and I still went with this one, the lowest priced one available because I felt the design was better and the others not worth the added cost. The Warrior was all velcro, and that's quite annoying and overly complex. The CCM had different built in elbow pads that were quite awkward when trying to adjust the fit, though I did like the singly side buckles around the torso. The Bauer felt overly stiff and blocky, which may be the point, but the elbow pads were awkward and I wasn't impressed. The other Vaughn set ups were as comfortable as this one, I just couldn't see what I was getting for the added cost. I'm sure it's there somewhere, but for a newbie, this was an excellent choice. It is comfy, absorbs all thrown at it so far, and simple to adjust.
