Starting August 1, players competing in youth, girls, high school or junior hockey within USA Hockey are required to wear neck laceration protectors (NLPs) for all games and practices. In addition, on-ice officials under the age of 18 as well as players in all six disciplines within USA Hockey’s disabled hockey program are also required to wear NLPs.
The NG NLP21 Premium Neck Guard is a thin lightweight, and adjustable for player comfort. It features HeiQ Fresh Technology preventing odor-causing bacteria and is constructed with DuPont KEVLAR brand fibers for cut resistant protection. The Bauer NG NLP21 is BNQ and CE certified neck guard for all organized levels of play.

Lightweight and Comfortable
Bought this neck guard because I wanted protection against skate blades possibly slicing my neck open. Was pleased to find that it was very comfortable and didn’t affect my play negatively. Would recommend this to anyone playing beer league.

Exactly what my son was looking for, lightweight, soft enough so that it's not like a firm collar. Protects his neck as it should.
