Comfortable
I bought these referee shin gusrds for my 14 yr old. He likes it, specifically they are not bulky.

The jury is still out
I bought these for coaching. My regular ones are just to big under my coaching pants. The first time I wore them I used the knee sleeve. It is way to tight and uncomfortable. I do have a bigger calf and thigh. I started wearing them without the knee sleeve and it's a lot more comfortable but the do shift a little.
