The Bauer 3s is the lowest level of skate that I would buy. Given its price tag and features I would say it is a pretty good upgrade from my Vapor X 4.0. But it is lacking value compared to last year's 2s pro. The fit system made it simple for me to find the right skate (fit 2 for me). Given that my last skate was a vapor, I did go up one half size from a 9.5 to a 10. The skates were fairly comfortable after the first skate and 1 bake.

I love that the hard boot of this skate allows multiple bakings to extend the life of the skate as my son’s foot grows

I play Beer league and help my son during practice.I have converted back to Bauer’s about 10 years ago and used the 1s and 2s skates. I was worried about moving to the FIT system but it all worked out and I am a EE size FIT3 kinda person and no problem. The boot feels great and I like the holder and can use my steel from the other boots so this is a win. Was not willing to go with the higher end skate any more especially for just the Steel, Tongue and insert. I feel like this boot is perfect thanks Bauer.

This skate is great, baked and straight to the ice. Felt good. Responsive and after my shop modifying my contour, they are on point.
