The BAUER Vapor X40R Roller Hockey Skate features a Quarter Package that uses a Sublimated woven mesh with molded X-Rib Pattern and a liner that is a brushed nylon also found in the higher end Bauer Ice and Roller Skates. An exterior heel cup and ankle support supplies a firm ankle for turning and control. An Anatomical 1-Piece white felt tongue adds comfort and stability for the skater. The Standard Comfort footbed completes a high level of comfort for inside the boot.

The Outsole or outer part of the boot is an Injected TPR which is a durable and strong outer boot construction. The HI-LO HL3 Outdoor 82A durometer wheel gives the same grip and feel as an indoor wheel yet is designed for outdoor use. The Chassis is a HI-LO 76/80mm and uses the HI-LO ABEC 5 608 bearings.
