Inserts made a huge difference
Used to pack my feet into Vapor/Fit 1 skates for the feeling of control. As I got older and spent more time standing and coaching rather than playing, foot and knee pain became an issue. Switched to Fit 2 last year, which helped the foot and knee pain, but didn’t have the same feeling of control without the snug fit. Adding the inserts helped in two ways. The slightly thicker profile improved the feeling of control as it made my skates fit better and the extra cushioning helps with the comfort during all those hours spent standing on the ice. I highly recommend.
