The CCM XS Replacement Tongue- Extra features a 10mm black tongue for reduced boot volume. It is 43% thicker than the regular XS tongue and 25% more resistant than the stock Super Tacks AS3 pro tongue. It also features molded D30® lace-bite protection.

Must have with Ribcore 90K skates (and maybe others)
If your buying a pair of Ribcore 90K skates, buy these at the same time and consider it part of the price for the skates. I didn't know and wound up with severe lace bite. (never had that in 35 years of playing hockey) I've only skated once with them, but there is a world of difference. Will probably be a month or more before my lace bite heals, but I'm confident that my injury would never have happened had I had these tongues from the beginning.
