Easton's V-Series sticks have been completely redesigned around the correct shooting technique focusing on puck position, blade angle and energy transfer. When shooting the puck, it all comes down to velocity. The V7 stick achieves this velocity with several unique technologies. The Hypertoe deals with puck position. Positioning the puck on the toe forces you to load the blade and creates more shot velocity. This patent pending Hypertoe design combines a stiffened toe with a softened taper section to create more force with the same load. The Dual lie blade angle on some of the newer Easton patterns like the E3, E28 and the E36 keep the puck on the toe of the blade, and connect the shooting portion to the ice and position the heel slightly up to fully load the blade. The thin taper profile of the shaft provides for a low kick point with ultra quick release. If the V9 is a little out of your price range, the V7 is a great alternative.
