The 9500 helmet is a combination of a low profile design players are looking for with elite level protection that is needed. Through research and development, the 9500 features New Liner Technologies, Unique Shell Innovations, and Player Performance elements exclusive to Nike Bauer Hockey. This helmet comes equipped with a FXPP(Fused Expanded Polypropylene) Liner that transmits 20% less energy during impact than the same volume of traditional EPP foam. Located in key impact zones, the FXPP liner helps to dissipate impact keeping the player in the game. Integrated into the Comfort Padding of the helmet is the Thermo Core which absorbs and releases excess heat keeping you cooler on the ice. The dual density HDPE shell is combines protection and flexibility for a personalized fit, allowing the helmet to self adjust to the vast amount of head shapes out there. This helmet has it all with protection, fit, and comfort.

What is your noodle worth?
cross check from the front sent me sailing bckwards onto my backside and then the back of my head banged the ice. I was dazed but no concussion symptoms afterwards. The helmet saved my noodle!

great helmet
My wife is wearing this Helmet on the Ice. It has worked out great. Most of the time she wears it when she is on the ice with our 3.5 yr old son.

Nice fitting helmet -- worth the $$
What's not to like about this helmet? It fits great, good protection, plethora of colors...and, if you need to sell it, it will hold its value well. Go get one!

Nike/Bauer 9500 helmet
Very easy to size and attach face shield. Only bad part was that the moisture wick padding on the back of head came loose, causing sticky glue residue on back of head. Would have gotten 5 stars if not for that problem. Good all around helmet tho.
