What exactly is skate profiling? Profiling is the shaping of the steel skate blade from heel to toe, customizing the blade shape to each player’s body position, skating ability, and stride. By doing this, a player can maximize their blade’s contact to the ice, and the 4 key aspects of skating - acceleration, transition, speed, and stability. Pro Sharp Profiling
Ellipse
• Ellipse profiles are designed with the dynamic skater in mind. Combine maximum power with hyperlight agility to produce seamless transitions. The new Ellipse profiles revolutionize profiling by transferring the shape of an ellipse to the blade instead of a circles (radius) or multiple circles (radii).
Quad
• Quad profiles are for the power skaters. Combining 4 profiles into one, gives a subtle change at the 4 main contact points of your blade. When you’re up on your toes, you’ll have a smaller contact point which creates more drive and acceleration, as you move back on the blade, the radius tends to flatten out more transferring more of the energy from your drive to your glide.
Zuperior
• Zuperior triple profiles are designed for the active player and capitalizes on drive points to maximize agility. If you’re a corner digger or love to dangle low in the zone, try a Zuperior triple profile.
Goalie Sam (Goalie Skates Only)
• A goalie triple radius profile that maximizes agility, stability, and acceleration.
**Skates sharpened/profiled using the Pro Sharp system must continue to be sharpened using this system moving forward in order to maintain profile stability.
