Okay so first off, I only play in men's leagues and I knew this was overkill before I picked it up but my slr2 chesty must be breaking down because I've started getting stingers and letting rebound goals in because of it....so I figured I'd go all out and get something really high end hoping it will last me a long time. Like I said I came from an SLR2 which was nice and broken in. Tons of mobility and previously had very good protection. The V10 is very different. It likes to be tucked in but you can't half tuck it. I played with it untucked and it would bump up against my pants and raise up sometimes during the game. It's way bigger than my slr2, but the protection is amazing. I did take some slappers from some high level players and I didn't feel a thing, and when I took a shot in the chest the puck didn't fly off me causing a rebound. This guy just ate them up. The build quality is superb. I didn't find any loose threads or torn up edges. The adjust-ability is...mediocre imo. It seemed like everything I tried to adjust made no real difference in comfort or fit. The only thing that seemed to make any change was the floaters. You can slightly make them sit taller(really make them stick out forward more), but with multiple adjustment locations you'd think it would have more of an impact. I felt like it just didn't. The piece that holds the shoulders together behind your back is a separate floating piece which feels a little odd when you're working with the chesty but you can't feel anything weird when you're wearing it. It's actually quite comfortable. I know in the SLR3's they have buttons on the arms and the V10 does not, which I like. Buttons I've had on other chest protectors just rust and fall apart and it gets nasty. I had no need to adjust the arms on the V10, they sit perfectly but the velcro strap on the wrists has a tab that sticks out for easy adjustments, and that tab does get in my way. It's not that bad though. I still think overall it's a great chest protector and I expect most of my concerns will be solved when I break it in properly.
