12 year old goalie
My son has used the pads for a month. He loves the magnetic strap holders. We added brians shock cord toe ties. The pads are lightweight and the quality is top notch.

Fantastic Pads
My son started using the VE8 leg pads in his second year Squirt and we're now on his third set after he outgrew his previous sets. He loves the combination of magnetic and velcro straps. We have had trouble with some of the velco wearing-out but Vaughn has always come through with easy-to-install replacement parts. These things are awesome - and made even more so when we replaced the toe strings with the Vaughn Bungie Toe Set.

Great intermediate pads but some maintenance needed
This is our second set of these pads as my son grew out of his previous pair. He loves the pads and finds them great for his slides between posts. The magnetic straps are also a plus.
Only problems we've had is that some of the velco wears-out every season. Vaughn has provided us replacement parts but you need to keep an eye on it or you won't be able to strap the pads on correctly.
