All new for 2010 the new Velocity 4 goal pad is a complete new design with new engineering and features to enhance the superior performance of the ever popular Velocity style goal pad. The Howard graphics provide a new look to the best pad in the market. The new V 4 goal pad is constructed using a new internal core that provides lighter weight and a more sturdy structure with increased perimeter edge strength for a stronger puck blocking surface. New wider inside pad edge gives a more stable landing area while on the ice and provides added stability for more dynamic slides across the ice for improved balance and control. Tall plus sizing with tall thigh rise helps seal off the five-hole area and new lower pad break angle holds the pad taller for improved new coverage in all positions. New narrower outer side panel provides lighter weight and improved lateral pad balance for improved feel and improves the pad interaction with the pants when transitioning to the ice. New wider leg and knee cradle is lined with a specially designed low friction Micro fiber synthetic leather. This speeds pad rotation for faster movement and a quicker pad seal to the ice. New inner toe design helps the skate blade contact the ice sooner for faster recovery and added control. The new wider knee cradle also features a double elastic strap with dual Velcro adjustments for a custom fit. New higher density inside knee protection provides added protection and greater stability, new knee lifter design and construction uses higher density foams layered to maximize protection and impact resistance for less shock to the inner knee area when impacting the ice.
