The new VP7600 V4 chest & arm protector is a major re-design of the older V3 model. The basic shape appears to be the same but several changes have been made and the unit now features "pro Spec" construction for more protection and Vaughn has managed to make the unit 10% lighter at the same time. The main features on the VP7600 are new large shoulder floaters that have a more solid construction with two layers of HD and one layer of LD foam for improved puck blocking. This C/A is one third thicker than the previous models. The shoulder floaters have all new construction and graphics. The shoulder caps are now constructed from 3/8" thick HD 110 for lighter weight and added thickness. The chest pad has had some changes in material to save weight and features a bottom flex pad and angled blocks for good flexibility in a deep crouched position, wide arm floaters with square edges for puck deflection. New thicker multiple layered sternum area addsflex and increases protection. Adjustable upper rib cage padding that can be moved to allow for a narrow or wide chest providing a custom fit. New wider and thicker upper arm caps give more coverage to outer arm area and is one third thicker than previous models. The fitting still remains the same. Great care was taken in the design changes to ensure that the unit is easy to break in and keeps great mobility. New two color chest pad buckles feature higher strength material.
